Synopsis of Open Range

The story takes place in the western plains of the United States in 1882. On that vast land, people called "pioneers" lived. They freely chose the land, worked hard, herded cattle and sheep, and lived and worked in peace and contentment. Charlie (Kevin Cos) Turner (Kevin Costner), Sue (Annette Bening), Moss (Abraham Benrubi) and Spearman (Robert Duvall) are among them. However, as time goes by and the number of residents increases, the vast plain is no longer a territory where one can roam freely. However, the four simple and kind-hearted people have not noticed the change in the situation. In an accident, the bully Baxter (Kim Coates) of a western town teamed up with the police chief to punish Moss who came to buy supplies and prohibited the "pioneers" from approaching the town again. Until then, Charlie Only then did the group realize that it was time to take up arms and fight for their dignity and freedom.
