Synopsis of The Man Who Knew Too Much

Hitchcock directed the story of "To Kill a Murderer" twice. This film is a black and white version shot in England in the 1930s. It describes a British family vacationing in Switzerland and learning from a dying spy that a diplomat in London will be assassinated while he is attending a concert. To keep the couple quiet, the assassins kidnapped their daughter as a hostage, but they went to the music studio anyway. The entire film mixes diversified materials such as spy films, police films, and comedies, making it into a work with rich content and strong drama, and it also subtly reflects the volatile political situation in Europe at that time.
