Synopsis of Trembling Flesh

1970, Christmas Eve. The prostitute Isabel (Penélope Cruz) is about to give birth. In desperation, the madam stops the car at her own risk, and she gives birth to a son in the car, named Victor. Twenty years later, Victor fell in love with Elena, the girl with whom he had an affair, but the date was abandoned. An angry Victor came to visit, but Elena, who was addicted to drugs, forced him at gunpoint. When the two were in a stalemate, police officers Sancho and David (Javier Bardem) happened to pass by. Earlier, Sancho, who was driving drunk, was telling his colleagues about his wife's affair. During the confrontation, David was shot by Victor, resulting in paralysis of his lower limbs, and the latter was imprisoned. Six years later, Victor, who had expired in prison, saw David, a disabled athlete, on TV. The latter represented the Spanish team in the 1992 Barcelona Paralympics and won the basketball gold medal. Victor wanted to seek revenge from David, but he became a colleague with David's wife. There was an astonishing secret hidden behind this strange coincidence...
