Taking Woodstock

Synopsis of Taking Woodstock

In the United States in the late 1960s, with the cruelty and remoteness of war and the seemingly unbelievable feat of landing on the moon, young people were looking for a response between themselves and the world. In a small town near White Lake, New York State, in order to take care of his stingy mother, the Jewish young man Eliot (Demetri Martin) gave up his job as a designer in New York and went home to help manage the motel business. In order to improve the struggling business, Eliot I specially used the convenience of the president of my local chamber of commerce to prepare for holding regular music festival activities. At the same time, the first Woodstock Music Festival was stalled due to opposition from the local government where it was originally scheduled to be held. Elliott seized this opportunity and invited the organizer to relocate to his hometown. The local residents may have a negative impact on the hippie audience. Worried about the dangers of the event, Elliott's declaration to give up charging tickets at the press conference caused music lovers from all over the country to flock to the event, with hundreds of thousands of spectators, turning the venue into an independent republic caught in a carnival. As the music festival progresses, the Elliot family's problems are also alleviated... This film is adapted from the memoirs of Elliot Tiber.
