Sherlock Jr.

Sherlock Jr.

Synopsis of Sherlock Jr.

The film's male protagonist, Keaton (played by Buster Keaton), is a film projectionist in a rural theater. He likes to read detective books and often fantasizes about being a great detective like Sherlock Holmes. One day, he gave chocolate candy worth one dollar to his girlfriend Kathryn (Kathryn McGuire), claiming it was four dollars. Unexpectedly, his love rival took the opportunity to frame him, saying that Keaton stole someone else's watch and used it to earn money to buy chocolates. Katharine believed the slander, kicked Keaton out of the house, and canceled the engagement between them. After Keaton investigated, he discovered that his love rival was the guy who stole the watch and pawned it, but he had no evidence to clear his grievances. One day, when Keaton was screening a movie, he discovered that the story on the screen was exactly the same as what happened to him, and the characters were also the same. The only difference was that the story in the movie took place in an upper-class family. Keaton was immersed in the movie while showing it, so he walked out of the screening room and walked from the auditorium into the screen to arrest his love rival criminal. But after entering the screen, Keaton ran into obstacles everywhere and was at a loss. As the scene changes, the images on the screen continue to change from fantasy to reality...
