Synopsis of Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai
The gang killer "Ghost Dog" (Forest Whitaker) living in New Jersey is of African descent, but he is immersed in the spiritual world of Japanese Bushido, and "loyalty" is his highest creed in his life. He lives in seclusion and is serious in speech. He communicates with his boss by flying pigeons to send letters on a daily basis. The ghost dog regards the boss Louis (played by John Tormey) as his biological father. After receiving the order, he will never show mercy. Even though he was lonely, he still had friends he could talk to. In his free time, he chatted with African Americans who were buying ice cream in the park and spoke French. Each had his own story, but it was also interesting; or he exchanged his thoughts on reading "Rashomon" with a little girl who loved reading. The ghost dog lives in his own world, but great changes have taken place around him. Finally one day, he was abandoned by Louis and became a victim of gang strife...
