Synopsis of Edge of Seventeen

In the summer of 1984, the air was filled with a lazy and comfortable atmosphere. 17-year-old Eric (Chris Stafford) is a sunny boy who has just entered his senior year of high school. Taking advantage of the vacation, he and his friend Maggie (Tina Holmes) found work in a fast food restaurant. Here Eric meets Rod (Andersen Gabrych), a boy who is longer than him. Rhodes seemed to be quite fond of the shy boy in front of him. His seemingly unbridled teasing made Eric flustered, but he gradually found that he fell in love with Rhodes. In the sunny Ohio, the erotic entanglement between boys and boys begins... The film won the 1998 Los Angeles Film Festival Audience Award for Best Film, the Jury Prize for Best Actor (Chris Stafford), the Best American Film and the Best Screenplay Award; the 1998 San Francisco Gay and Lesbian International Film Festival Audience Award for Best Film.
