Synopsis of 16 Blocks

On an ordinary day in New York, veteran police detective Jack Mosley (played by Bruce Willis), who is about to retire, receives a thankless task: traveling through 16 blocks to escort a prisoner to testify in court. This should have been an extremely easy thing. The drive from the police station to the court was only 15 minutes. The only trouble seemed to be just the nonsense spouted by the criminal Eddie (MosDef). However, the truth is far more than that. An assassination operation against Eddie allowed Jack to discover the truth behind the scenes: the so-called testimony in court was just a cover. The real situation was based on the police colleague and old friend Frank (David Morse). A group of corrupt police officers led by David Morse took advantage of Jack's opportunity to escort Eddie to eradicate tainted witnesses. After experiencing inner struggle, Jack protected Eddie in order to seek justice in his heart, but he became the target of the New York Police Department. The distance of 16 blocks has never been so long...
