Synopsis of The Gauntlet

Shackley is an upright police officer, but he has never been appreciated by his superiors. It was not until he was about to retire that he took over a major case from the newly appointed director and asked him to go to another city to bring Morley, an important witness in a drug case. He went to Phoenix to testify in court. When he was about to return to Phoenix, he was chased by the police and gangsters one after another. Various signs made them understand that it was the Phoenix police who colluded with the guilty gangs to kill them and silence them. The police officers were enraged and wanted to return to Phoenix City with Morley for revenge. They deliberately notified the enemy of the route. They and Morley drove a big bus with iron stalls all the way into Phoenix City, and hundreds of people were killed. Thousands of police officers were ordered to intercept, and the car was badly beaten. In desperation, the two hugged each other and walked out of the car. The vicious police chief ordered the police to shoot them. Intimidated by the righteousness of Shackley and Morley, and No one listened to the order, and justice finally defeated evil. The evil police chief died under Morley's gun, and the two hugged each other and walked away.
