Synopsis of The Manchurian Candidate

Ben Magow (played by Denzel Washington), who has won many honors and medals, was a Marine Corps captain. During the first Gulf War, his team was ambushed while performing a search mission at night. , relying on the wit and courage of his comrade Sergeant Raymond Xiao (played by Liev Schreiber), the entire team finally saved the day, and the unconscious Ben escaped from death thanks to Raymond. Ten years later, Ben talked about this past on countless occasions and praised Raymond's courage. Due to his outstanding performance during the war, Raymond's career was bright. With the help of his mother Irina (Meryl Streep) in the Senate, he has now become a candidate for vice president.
