Synopsis of Maria Full of Grace

The 18-year-old girl Maria (Catalina Sandino Moreno) quit her job at the flower farm and found out she was pregnant. She had a disagreement with her boyfriend and broke up with her. Maria and her friend Blanca got a new job - smuggling drugs into the United States. Maria decided to take up the job with a high reward, and thus met Lucy, a veteran, and practiced swallowing drugs. Blanca also insisted on doing it after learning about it. At the airport, Maria was detained for inspection and was able to escape because of her pregnancy. The three were picked up and delivered smoothly. That night, Maria discovered that Lucy had been killed by a drug dealer because the pills ruptured in her stomach. She took away the drugs with Blanca immediately. In order to help Lucy, Maria found her sister Carla's house based on the information she left behind. Once the two accidentally revealed their identities in the eyes of the agent Fernando, they had to hand over the drugs to the drug dealer. After taking the money, Blanca embarked on the return journey, but at the ticket gate, Maria turned around and left... ..
