Synopsis of Alexander

The filming of the film took 94 days, and the actor Colin Farrell broke his arm and ankle during the filming. The film tells the story of Alexander (Colin Farrell)’s dreams, glory and adventurous life when he was young, his lonely life after conquering the world and his mysterious death. His unusual relationship with General Hephaistion (Jared Leto) is also on display. Alexander's mother (Angelina Jolie) also played an extraordinary influence in his life. Alexander was very smart since he was a child. He was taught by Aristotle. When he was a little older, he was awarded the position of governor of the capital. He was appointed as the commander of the Macedonian army for his merits in pacifying the bandits. He followed his father to sweep away the chaos in the Greek city-states. He integrated Eastern and Western cultures, encouraged intermarriage between ethnic groups, advocated equality of status among ethnic groups, spread Greek thought and laws throughout the country, and created the culture of the Hellenistic era. He was only 33 years old when he died.
