Synopsis of Rashomon

Rashomon, the south gate of Kyoto, Japan. A wandering monk, a woodcutter and a beggar took shelter from the rain under the city gate. The three of them chatted, and the topic began. The story began: a warrior and his wife were passing by a barren mountain and encountered an accident. The wife was insulted and the samurai was killed. How did the tragedy happen? The murderer, his wife, and the witch who borrowed the souls of the dead warriors as witnesses all had their own theories. There is only one truth, but each person's purpose in providing testimony is different. In order to beautify their own morals, alleviate their sins, and cover up their faults, everyone begins to tell a beautifying version of their own story. The tragedy on the barren mountain became an indescribable fog. After the discussion, the sky cleared after the rain. A woodcutter found a crying abandoned baby near Rashomon. He decided to adopt the baby and walked into the sunset with the baby in his arms.
