Synopsis of Overheard 3

This film tells the story of the Lu family behind the scenes of real estate development transactions in a walled village in the New Territories of Hong Kong. The story begins when villager Luo Yongjiu (played by Louis Koo) drunkenly kills his brother Lu Yongyuan (played by Qian Jiale). Lu Yongyong's wife Yuehua (played by Zhou Xun) has been at odds with him ever since. Luo Yong was released from prison five years later and discovered that the patriarch of the Lu family, Lu Hantao (played by Zeng Jiang), his daughter Lu Yongyu (played by Ye Xuan), and his son-in-law (played by Huang Lei) already owned the largest real estate company in the New Territories, and the Lu family brother Lu Jinqiang (played by Luo Yong) Liu Qingyun), Luk Yongfu (Fang Zhongxin) and others are frantically expanding their power. Soon the Hong Kong real estate giant invited Luo Yong to "discuss important matters together." At the same time, the mysterious man Azu (played by Daniel Wu) revealed to Yuehua a secret message obtained through eavesdropping.
