Synopsis of The Number 23

Walter (played by Jim Carrey) originally lived a happy pastoral life, until one day he got involved with the number "23", and his life completely changed. His wife Agatha gave Walter a novel called "The Number 23" as a birthday gift. This book seemed ordinary and described a detective who encountered 23 murderous nightmares. The number "23" is like The shackles tightly controlled his life, and finally he killed his wife with his own hands. Walter was surprised to find that many of the scenes and life details described in the book were exactly the same as his own life, both in the past and in the future. The plot of the novel seems to push his life step by step towards the final abyss - he killed his wife with his own hands. In order to avoid this ending, Walter can only find out the truth behind these events and "23"!
