Synopsis of Villain

The story takes place in a remote and barren mountain village. Zhang Baomin (played by Song Yang) is a miner. One day, he was called home by his wife Cuixia (played by Tan Zhuo). It turned out that their son was missing. With a photo of his son, Zhang Baomin, who could not speak, embarked on the road to find his son. On the way, he met the minions of the big capitalist Chang Wannian (played by Jiang Wu). The two parties clashed, and Chang Wannian deceived Zhang Baomin himself. Knowing the whereabouts of his son, he is actually hiding a dark secret. Chang Wannian has been relying on bribes to illegally acquire coal mines to make huge profits. As his lawyer, Xu Wenjie knows too many ulterior secrets. The public prosecutor's office began to investigate Chang Wannian's company, and Xu Wenjie disappeared at this juncture. In order to force Xu Wenjie to submit, Chang Wannian kidnapped his daughter.
