Synopsis of The River

After working as an extra, Xiaokang (Li Kangsheng) suffered from a strange disease that crooked his neck. His father (Miao Tian) took him everywhere to seek medical treatment. Although his father has a wife and children, he is a homosexual who lusts after the bodies of young boys. The family has long existed in name only for him, and he has lost the ability to bear responsibilities (or believes that there are no responsibilities to bear).
