Synopsis of Tiger! Tiger! Tiger!
This is a true movie that truly shows the history of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. When the U.S. military intervenes in the Pacific battlefield, the top Japanese general Isoroku Yamamoto (played by Sô Yamamura) believes that the U.S. military is powerful and should fight quickly, and it is not suitable to fight a long war with the Americans. As a result, the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor planned by him was officially launched. Although the U.S. military learned about the possible raid by the Japanese army from previously intercepted Japanese secret messages, most people dismissed it and did not report the contents of the secret message. Even though a U.S. soldier spotted an unusual group of aircraft on radar on the day of the raid, U.S. generals still believed it was their own aircraft performing patrol missions. In the end, the Japanese sneak attack was successful and the US military suffered heavy losses. Isoroku Yamamoto has also become the biggest thorn in the eyes of Americans.
