Synopsis of Marina Abramović: The artist is present

This film follows the performance of Serbian performance artist Marina Abramovic (played by Marina Abramovic), who is known as the grandmother of contemporary performance art, in 2010 at MoMA, New York's Museum of Modern Art. The entire process of the large-scale retrospective exhibition Marina Abramovic: The Artist Is Present. In this exhibition, some of the artist's most famous performance art works are reproduced through 30 young contemporary artists invited, while Marina Abramovic herself once again reappears in her reflection on the infinite pursuit of art and human beings. Created a shocking yet touching performance art work. At the same time, the film also reviews the love-hate relationship between Marina Abramovic and her former soul mate Ulay. The reconciliation between Ulay and Marina at the performance also moved everyone. The film was nominated for many awards including the 2012 Sundance Film Festival and the 2013 American Independent Spirit Award, and won the 2012 Berlin International Film Festival Grand Prix.
