Synopsis of Cop Land

The story takes place in a small town called Garrison. Since most of the people living in the town are police officers, people affectionately call it a "cop town". In an accident, police officer Babbage (Michael Rapaport) mistakenly believed that two young men wanted to shoot him. Out of police instinct, he shot the two men preemptively. Afterwards, Babbage discovered that what the two young men were holding at that time was not a gun at all, but a steering wheel lock. Babbage's mistake became a local scandal. In order to cover up the scandal, his colleagues in the police community came up with "strategies". In the end, through secret operations by their colleagues, a gun appeared out of thin air in the car of the two young men. Babbage also became a hero who disappeared because of maintaining peace in the town. However, the paper could not contain the fire after all, and the secrets of Babbage and the police town were discovered by a young sheriff named Freddy (Sylvester Stallone) by chance.
