Synopsis of Parenthood

Gil's (played by Steve Martin) youngest son Kevin (played by Jasen Fisher) was persuaded by his school teacher to return home because of his extreme introversion, which made Gil anxious. In order to help Kevin regain his confidence, Jill plays games with Kevin every day, but it seems to have no effect. Gil's brother-in-law Nathan (Rick Moranis) has an educational philosophy that is completely opposite to Gil's. He hopes to train his daughter to become a useful talent. However, under the pressure of his cramming education, not only his daughter Losing his happy life, even his wife eventually left him. Backman (Mary Steenburgen) is a single mother who raises a pair of children by herself. Life is not easy for her, and she also encounters the rebellious period of her two children. Her daughter got married early and started a family, while her son became increasingly taciturn.
