Synopsis of Pacific Rim: Uprising

Ten years after fighting against the alien invasion and successfully sealing the wormhole, mankind stood up from the ruins. They forgot their fear and indulged in carnival, including Jack (played by John Boyega), the son of General Steck Pentecost. In the process of stealing abandoned mecha parts, he accidentally met Amara (Cailee Spaeny), a girl who assembled mini mechas by herself. Thereafter, under the arrangement of his sister Asako Mori (played by Rinko Kikuchi), Jack and Amara Moyulan received training as mecha pilots at the base. At the same time, the Shanghai-based Shaw Group, under the auspices of president Shao Liwen (played by Jing Tian), is working on replacing traditional mechas with drones. At this critical moment, a black mecha that looked very similar to the Revenge Wanderer suddenly appeared and started ruthlessly killing humans.
