Synopsis of After the Wedding

The kind-hearted Jacob Peterson (played by Mads Mikkelsen) opened an orphanage in India and is dedicated to helping homeless orphans. When his orphanage was facing a crisis of bankruptcy, it received a generous donation from a Danish businessman named Qiao Zhen (played by Rolf Lasgaard). But the businessman came with a condition. He asked Jacob to leave India to attend his daughter's wedding. In order to get donations, Jacob went to Denmark alone. Because he promised to hold a birthday party for a child in the orphanage, Jacob also booked a trip back to India. Later he found Qiao Zhen, and Jacob found that he was an arrogant person, and Qiao Zhen had sequelae of alcoholism. He was invited to attend the wedding. At the wedding, he met Qiao Zhen's wife Helen (played by Siddess Babbitt Knudson). Even though they had not seen each other for many years, the two of them still recognized each other...
