Synopsis of Apollo 11

Emmy Award-winning documentary director Todd Douglas Miller led the production team to work closely with NASA and the National Archives to collect all documentary footage from the 50 years since the Apollo 11 moon landing. During the process, precious 70mm footage that had never been exposed was discovered for the first time, as well as more than 11,000 hours of conversation recordings recording the entire lunar landing mission. The team also digitally restored these precious images that have been released to the sky at a resolution as high as 8K, presenting the Apollo 11 moon landing with the highest-definition quality ever seen! This film not only allows the audience to experience the actual situation of landing on the moon with Yan Shitang, but also takes a big step in documentary production in the history of film! 2019 Sundance Film Festival: Special Jury Prize for American Documentary (Editing)
