Synopsis of Linsanity

In February 2012, a wave of "Linsanity" swept the world on the basketball court. The New York Knicks, who have been underperforming all season, unexpectedly gave backup point guard Jeremy Lin a chance to prove himself. Jeremy Lin seized the opportunity and fulfilled his mission. With his stunning performance, he became the player with the most points in the first five games of the contemporary NBA, causing a huge sensation around the world. However, before the "Linsanity" phenomenon, Jeremy Lin's career in professional basketball hit obstacles everywhere. Not only did he fail to get a scholarship when applying to college, he was also disappointed and failed to get selected in the NBA draft. Chinese-American director Liang Yidan discovered Jeremy Lin long before his name was known to everyone. They followed and filmed Jeremy Lin's journey as an Asian player, working hard in the NBA, and eventually becoming a superstar. "Linsanity" is not only a documentary filmed for basketball fans, but also an inspiring history of dream chasing and struggle.
