Synopsis of Joy Ride

As summer vacation approaches, college freshman Lewis Thomas (Paul Walker) decides to travel across state and province to New Jersey to visit Verna Wilkos (Leelee Sobieski), a girl he has loved since high school. In order to pass the boring time on the journey, he bailed out his elder brother Fuller (Steve Zahn), who was in jail for drunk driving, and the two brothers went all the way. During the trip, Fuller bought a car walkie-talkie and chatted with other drivers. During this period, they picked up a truck driver nicknamed "Rusty Nail". Fuller had a sudden idea and encouraged his brother to pretend to be a woman and use a walkie-talkie to seduce Rusty Nail. To them, it seemed like a harmless, forgettable joke during the trip. Unexpectedly, they encountered this difficult and terrifying guy. In the following time, the rusty nails became an inescapable nightmare for Lewis, Fuller and Vina...
