Synopsis of Hysteria

This film is adapted from a true story. Mortimer (Hugh Dancy), a young doctor who embraces the idea of saving people, was fired several times because he disagreed with the business philosophy of many hospitals. While searching for a job, I found Dr. Darrinshaner’s clinic. This is a place that specializes in serving women and treating a disease called hysteria. Mortimer learned finger massage here, and also met the doctor's two daughters with very different personalities. Sister Charlotte (played by Maggie Gyllenhaal) is a feminist who runs a soup kitchen; while sister Emily (played by Felicity Jones) is a lady. The hospital's business is getting better and better, but Mortimer's hands are struggling. Due to a hand spasm, Mortimer failed to satisfy a customer and was kicked out by the doctor. Returning to the home of his friend Edmund (Rupert Everett) and seeing the electric feather duster he invented, Mortimer had a wonderful idea. And this idea brings good news and joy to women, and it also supports...
