Synopsis of Butterfly Lovers

They have been in love for ten lives. They were originally the golden boy and girl beside the Jade Emperor. Because of their love, they were demoted to the mortal world and had to suffer ten lives of torture. The story begins in the tenth life. The daughter of the Zhu family (Charlene Choi) is ordered by her parents to disguise herself as a man and go to the Xiaoyao School to study. On the way, she encounters countless dangers without realizing it. Fortunately, Liang Zhongshan (played by Wu Zun) and Ma Chengen (played by Hu Ge) come later. Come to the rescue. The dangers of the world are completely abstract concepts to Zhu Yan. Chengen sent Yan Yan to the Xiaoyao sect and then went to Beijing to resume his life. During the days when the Xiaoyao sect was practicing and playing, Yan Yan and Zhongshan gradually became close. When Uncle Caotou (played by Yu Chengqing) was experimenting with alchemy and feigning death, Yan Yan went up the mountain to pick fake medicine and fell into a coma. Zhongshan was shocked to realize that she was a girl. He was surprised and felt sweet. The young lovers who had just fallen in love immediately welcomed Ma Chengen, who rushed back from the capital, and Chengen asked Yan Yan to go home immediately. Oblivious to the changes in the future, Yan Yan made an agreement with Zhongshan to wait at home for him to propose marriage. However, what the young lovers were waiting for was a well-designed scam.
