Synopsis of Sparkle

The story takes place in the 1960s. Sparkle (Jordin Sparks) is deeply influenced by his mother Emma (Whitney Houston) and is full of passion for singing. She formed a band with her two sisters, Hester (Carmen Ejogo) and Delores (Tika Sumpter), and eventually became a member of her manager, Sticks (Derek). With the help of Derek Luke (played by Derek Luke), he realized his dream and climbed to the top of his career. In the process, sparks of love sparked between Sparkle and Sticks, but Sparkle knew that if they couldn't handle this relationship well, their careers would be over. Not only that, as their fame grew, and under the temptation of huge benefits, the friendship between the three sisters also suffered a huge test. Sparkle discovered that if she wanted to get something, she had to give up something first.
