Synopsis of Breakdown

Jeff (Kurt Russell) and Amy (Kathleen Quinlan) are a couple. During a long trip, the vehicle they drove broke down in the wilderness. Just as the two were anxious, a strange man named Rhett (J.T. Walsh) appeared in front of them. Red kindly told Jeff and Amy that there was a tow truck not far away. Jeff asked Amy to follow Red. Soon, this wrong decision cost Jeff. While waiting for the tow truck, Jeff repaired the car himself, so he decided to drive to the place Rhett said to find Rhett and Amy. Unexpectedly, when Jeff arrived, no one in the area claimed to have seen Amy. Jeff found Red and questioned him, but Red said he didn't know Jeff, let alone Amy. Sensitive Jeff realized that something was fraudulent. He wanted to ask the police for help but there was no evidence. For a while, Jeff fell into a desperate situation.
