This film is a documentary about the People's Temple and its leader Jim Jones. On November 18, 1978, more than 900 believers died in a mass suicide incident in Jonestown, Guyana, South America. The sect was founded in 1953 in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. At first it was just an ordinary independent religious group, but it began to deteriorate after the mid-1960s.
