Synopsis of The Salvation

In 1870s America, a peaceful American settler murders his family's killers, unleashing the wrath of a notorious gang leader. His cowardly fellow townsfolk then betray him, forcing him to hunt down the gangsters alone. The story is set in a small western town in the United States in the 1870s. A mild-mannered Danish immigrant seeks revenge on the murderer after losing his family. However, this makes him a thorn in the side of a notorious local villain. All the cowardly residents of the town betrayed him, leaving the protagonist to face the lawbreakers alone. The Salvation, a Danish western drama film scheduled to be released on October 2, 2014, was shortlisted for competition at the 67th Cannes Film Festival. It is the fifth feature film by Danish director Christine Levering to be released on the big screen. It is directed by Cannes Starring best actor Madd Mikkelsen and sexy actress Eva Green. The film is written and directed by Kristian Levring of "Don't Be Afraid of Me", Mads Mikkelsen of "Brand of Lies", Eva Green of "300: Rise of an Empire"...
