Synopsis of While You Were Sleeping

Lucy (Sandra Bullock) has an ordinary career and ordinary appearance. Working lonely at the station ticket office every day, the only bright spot in life is looking forward to the handsome Peter (Peter Gallagher) appearing at the station on time every day. The relationship she persisted in silently finally made progress one Christmas Eve - she rescued Peter who was unconscious at the station and sent him to the hospital. Peter's family members who came after hearing the news mistakenly thought she was Peter's girlfriend. So, Lucy accepted this misunderstanding with embarrassment and happiness, and took good care of Peter, who had been in a coma. Peter's family was so enthusiastic and surrounded by family affection so warmly that Lucy was reluctant to leave and kept telling lies one after another. However, this aroused the suspicion of Peter's brother Jack (Bill Pullman). Surprisingly, Jack's appearance did not take away Lucy's happiness, but allowed Lucy to finally find her own happiness...
