Synopsis of Parasyte: The Maxim

Due to the frequent occurrence of cruel dismemberment and killings, people all over the world have fallen into panic. However, the culprit is a "parasitic beast" that humans have never expected. After the larvae of these parasitic organisms invade the human or animal body, they target the parasitic brain. After the parasitism is completed, they assimilate into the brain cells and manage this "dead body". They can transform at will and can quickly absorb and master human knowledge, and their food is the same species as their parasites. Ordinary high school student Izumi Shinichi (voiced by Shimazaki Nobunaga) was invaded by a strange insect one day and devoured his right hand. Since then, he has had to coexist with the parasitic creature "Right". Izumi Shinichi, who is upright and kind-hearted by nature, did not dare to tell his family and friends about this incident. However, his crush Murano Rimi (voiced by Hanazawa Coriander) seemed to notice the changes in his body.
