Good Bye Lenin!

Good Bye Lenin!

Synopsis of Good Bye Lenin!

Christina (Kathrin Sass) wholeheartedly supports socialist East Germany. Her husband has fled to West Germany, leaving her to raise a pair of children, Arianna (Maria Simon) and Ali. Max (Daniel Brühl). In 1989, Alex was arrested during a street parade. Witnessing this scene, his mother suffered a heart attack and fainted, and was unconscious for a long time. When she wakes up, the country she knows has changed - the Berlin Wall has come down, and socialism in the GDR has collapsed. The doctor said that Christina could no longer be stimulated. So the son tried every means to create a past world for his mother. As a result, my mother was able to live in the past GDR: including the clothes of her neighbors, the news on TV, and canned food replaced by Soviet food. However, Alex's good intentions cannot hide the huge reality of the world. Finally, the son told his mother about the changes in East Germany in his own way.
