Synopsis of Driving Miss Daisy

Daisy (Jessica Tandy) grew up in a poor area when she was a child. The rise of her husband's business made their family live a prosperous life, so Daisy is very frugal. Now that she is too old to drive by herself, her son hires a black driver Hawke (Morgan Freeman) for her, but Daisy doesn't like it very much. She avoided traveling at first because she didn't want Hawke to be a driver. Later, she felt that it was not cost-effective for her son to pay but not have to work for him, so she finally gave Hawke the first opportunity to drive for her. Hawke is a very kind and honest man. He knows that he is not accepted and does not take his unhappiness to heart. On the contrary, he was always concerned about Dai Qian's life, and gradually understood Dai Qian's persistent character of adhering to principles. Daisy's rejection of Hawke began to slowly melt away, until over the years she finally discovered that Hawke was a very trustworthy friend. Therefore, Dai Qian taught the illiterate Hawk how to read, and Hawk became Dai Qian's most caring friend in her later years.
