Synopsis of The Quiet American

The story took place in 1952, when the situation in Vietnam was tense, and turmoil and war were about to break out. Aiden (Brendan Fraser) is a staff member sent to Vietnam by the American aid organization. After witnessing all the happenings in Vietnam, Aiden is full of enthusiasm and hopes that he can do something here. After that, Aiden I met a man named Thomas (Michael Caine). He is a correspondent for The Times of London and knows the local conditions very well. By chance, Aiden met Thomas's Vietnamese mistress Feng (played by Du Haiyan). Soon, Aiden was attracted by the mysterious aura exuding from Feng, and he couldn't help but fall in love with Feng. In this way, a passionate but shaky triangle relationship was intertwined between Aiden, Thomas and Feng. The occurrence of a murder brought this relationship to the edge of collapse.
