Synopsis of Waist Deep

The black "O2" (played by Tyrese Gibson) has been an orphan since he was a child, living in a chaotic black lower-class community, and he eventually embarked on the path of crime. After serving his sentence and being released, "O2" decided to change his mind and start a new life with his son Julian. However, God did not want it to happen, and "O2" was once again involved in a gang incident. It turns out that local gangs robbed the "O2" car, and Julian in the car was also robbed. Faced with the huge ransom demanded by the gang, "O2" is unable to pay it. In order to save his son, "O2" found his once-close cousin, hoping that he could help him. Unexpectedly, my cousin was greedy for life and afraid of death, and refused to help. In desperation, he had to find Coco, a prostitute who had a one-night stand with him before.
