Synopsis of The Stand

James Marsden will star in the CBS limited series "The End of Days" adapted from Stephen King's masterpiece, playing the leading role of Stu Redman! The series has a total of 9 episodes and is packaged and directed by Josh Boone ([The Fault in Our Stars]). Boone also wrote the entire script with Ben Cavill. The original novel depicts the accidental leakage of a biological weapon developed by the U.S. military, causing the virus to ravage the entire world as if it were an apocalypse, with only a few people surviving.
