Synopsis of High Tension

Young girls Marie (Cécile DeFrance) and Alicia (Maïwenn LeBesco) are good friends studying at a university in Paris, France. One weekend, the two drove to Alicia's family's farm in the countryside for a vacation. It was late at night, everything was quiet, and Mary was feeling lonely and unbearable. When she was venting herself, an uninvited guest suddenly broke in. He brutally murdered Alicia's parents and young brother and took them captive. In order to rescue her friend, Mary quietly got into the killer's truck. Passing by a gas station, she changed into the car of a clerk who was also killed and continued to follow him, but was discovered by the cunning murderer. An almost psychedelic cat-and-mouse killing game immediately reached its climax... The film won the 2003 Sitges-Catalonian International Film Festival Best Actress (Cécile DeFrance), Best Director, Best Makeup and Silver Award at the European Fantasy Film Awards.
