Synopsis of Man on a Ledge

Nick Cassidy (played by Sam Worthington) was once an upright and responsible policeman, but he was sentenced to 25 years in prison for stealing $40 million in diamonds. His only chance to leave prison is to attend his father's funeral, where he takes the opportunity to escape. However, what is puzzling is that he did not leave the country, but went to a Manhattan hotel to get a room on the 24th floor. After scrubbing it carefully, he fell down under the gaze of the most prosperous New York. His move quickly attracted a large number of police and media. A young negotiator Lydia (Elizabeth Banks) tried to persuade him back into the house. However, during the gradual persuasion, Lydia realized that Nick was framed and imprisoned by the diamond owner David (Ed Harris) for the high insurance money. However, what makes Lydia even more unexpected is that Nick's suicide is just a pretense to attack the east. His brother and girlfriend are implementing a revenge plan in the jewelry warehouse building across the street...
