Synopsis of Father Goose

During World War II, American Walter (Cary Grant) met British Navy Captain Frank (Trevor Howard). He was deceived and forced by his old friend, and finally stranded on a small island in the South China Sea. Walter, codenamed "Mother Goose," must observe and report on Japanese aircraft movements every day in exchange for a bottle of whiskey to quench his thirst. Just when he hopes to leave as soon as possible, the stubborn French woman Catherine (Leslie Cullen) who "falls from the sky" and the little girls of seven diplomats from various countries become troubles that he cannot get rid of.
