Synopsis of General History of China

The 100-episode large-scale documentary "General History of China" is produced by the Program Center of CCTV Movie Channel, supervised by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, organized and written by the Institute of History of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and researchers from many major domestic universities and professional institutions are invited to participate in the creation. In order to allow the general audience to understand its appearance first, listen to opinions from all sides, and continuously improve the quality of filming, the movie channel has selected 7 episodes from the completed works from the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties to the Sui and Tang Dynasties to be broadcast first on January 21 By 8:50 pm on the 27th, the audience will see "Zhuge Liang's Governance of Shu", "Wei and Jin Styles", "Reforms of Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty", "Emperor Wu of Liang's Governance", "Buddhism of the Wei and Jin Dynasties", "Rebuilding Unification" and " Emperor Yang’s merits and demerits”.
