Synopsis of The Shore

Winner of the 2012 Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film. The film tells the story of two former childhood friends, Joe (Ciaran Hinds) and Paddy (Conleth Hill), who reunite after misunderstanding each other for 25 years. The violent conflict in Northern Ireland disrupted their lives and friendship, sending them on completely different paths. 25 years later, Joe returned to Ireland for the first time with his 24-year-old daughter Patrica. And he discovers that his former fiancée Mary is married to Paddy. When Joe and Paddy meet again, can they laugh away their grudges? The answer is both dumbfounding and touching.
