Synopsis of Black Narcissus
"Black Narcissus" (Black Narcissus) is a three-episode miniseries. Amanda Coe is responsible for writing the script and Tom Winchester serves as executive producer. The story is adapted from Rumer Godden's classic novel. The themes are still "sexual repression", "forbidden love" and "religious belief", and is mixed with "supernatural phenomena". In remote Nepal, Sister Clodagh and her convent are trying to live more harmoniously with the locals, but Sister Clodagh's long-repressed sexual desire is awakened in the process. She is deeply attracted to the real estate developer Mr. Dean, but the more passionate their relationship becomes, the more it foreshadows a tragic ending - because Sister Clodagh's forbidden love seems to mirror the love tragedy of the ancient Nepali princess Srimati.
