Synopsis of Eros

The film is a three-part theme (love and sex) film starring Michelangelo Antonioni ("Danger"), Steven Soderbergh ("Balance") and Wong Kar-Wai ("The Hand"). ") co-directed by three directors. "Hand" tells the story of Hong Kong in the 1960s. A young tailor (Chang Chen) has been in love with a social butterfly (Gong Li) for many years without any consideration in return. The images are gorgeous, full of texture and slightly sad. The story of "Balance" takes place in New York in the 1950s. Advertising executive Nick Penrose (Robert Downey Jr.) is always troubled by sexual dreams and has to seek help from his psychiatrist Pearl (Alan Arkin). Although the tone is absurd and abnormal , but it can also be seen as a self-deprecating humorous comedy. "Danger Line" is still the theme of the relationship between men and women in modern society that Antonioni has always been concerned about, and it has a strong philosophical flavor.
