Synopsis of Dust in the Wind

After graduating from junior high school, due to family constraints, 15-year-old rural boy A Yuan (Wang Jingwen) gave up his studies and came to Taipei to work. He experienced the hardships of life for the first time, but he still worked hard for his ideals. A year later, Ayuan's childhood sweetheart Ayun (Xin Shufen) also came to Taipei and learned that the real Taipei was different from the world described in Ayuan's letter. But the difficult environment did not reduce their happiness, because they had each other. When A-Yuan was serving in the military, A-Yun, who was alone in Taipei, did not feel so lonely at first because letters arrived every day. However, as time goes by, the love on paper from a distant lover is no longer as good as the whispers of a lively boy in real life. Coupled with the fear of the future, Ayun chose to marry another woman before Ayuan retired from the army. Although he was sad, Ayuan could only choose to suppress it.
