Synopsis of Virtuality

This space science fiction film, shot by Universal and produced by Ronald D. Moore, Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun, will describe Earth's first interstellar spacecraft, the "Wagon". The 12 astronauts on board (13 including the onboard computer) will embark on a ten-year space exploration trip, and the destination is a distant star system. To help the crew overcome the boredom of long-distance travel and keep them focused, NASA installed an advanced virtual reality device on the ship. This fun piece of equipment allows crew members to venture into any virtual world with any virtual identity. The plan starts out perfectly until a mysterious "flaw" suddenly appears in the system. "The theme of the story is: you can't figure out what is fantasy and what is reality. In order to survive, you can only escape. But what are we living for?" said Katherine Pope, president of Universal's media studio.
