Synopsis of Sock’n Roll

Shetou Township at the foot of Bagua Mountain is a town forgotten by globalization. This is the only sock settlement in Taiwan. There are 40,000 people in the town, and one out of every two people makes a living from socks. For every ten pairs of socks produced in Taiwan, eight pairs come from Shetou. Originally, a pair of socks could enable a couple to buy a house, raise children, and even turn from being a home contractor into the first owner. Now, these dreams have been hit by the waves of globalization. Only "Black Dog Brother" Li Donglin is unwilling to bow to fate and decides to save himself. Because he looked very "pretty" when he was young, everyone called him Brother Black Dog. He once dreamed of becoming a national volleyball player, but due to an injury in a car accident, he had no choice but to give up his studies in textiles and transfer his love for sports to making sports socks. He gradually became famous, and even took over the OEM work for well-known sports brands, reaching a peak performance in 2011.
