Synopsis of Flight of the Phoenix

Captain Frank (Dennis Quaid) has been dealing with aircraft for many years. This time he will be in charge of a "Phoenix" cargo plane to transport a group of oil workers and supplies to Beijing. However, what he didn't expect was that the plane encountered a storm on the way, and Frank had to make an emergency landing in the deserted Gobi Desert of Inner Mongolia. Fortunately, there were not many casualties. However, their water reserve was only enough to last for a month, but the possibility of waiting for rescue within a month was like buying a lottery ticket. In hunger and panic, various differences of opinion and quarrels began among the survivors. The last passenger, who claimed to be an airplane designer, proposed to use the wreckage to rebuild an airplane to save himself. However, building an airplane is not as simple as imagined. People's hearts are gradually consumed by constant attempts, and the remaining water of life is getting less and less. Can the seriously injured "Phoenix" be reborn in the vast Gobi desert? This film is a remake of the 1965 film of the same name, both adapted from the novel of the same name by British novelist Elleston Trevor.
